Today, we're diving deep into the top five reasons I see women not attracting clients, straight from one of my fave episodes of Business Mojo and Margaritas.
1. Lack of Clarity:
This is a biggie. If you can't easily state what you do and who you serve, it's going to create confusion. Imagine talking about weight loss one day and fibromyalgia the next. Your potential clients are going to be scratching their heads. Choose your lane, become an expert in it, and stay in it. Consistency builds trust, and trust attracts clients.
Takeaway: Write down in one sentence what you do and who you serve. Make this your business mantra and let it guide all your marketing efforts.
2. Mindset Woes and Fears:
Ah, mindset—our inner world that, let’s be honest, can sometimes be a hot mess. Comparisonitis, money blocks, and worth issues are real party poopers. They sneak in and make you question everything. Here's a tip: Use the 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins to kick fear in the hiney and just do the damn thing.
Takeaway: Identify one mindset block that's tripping you up and commit to overcoming it this week. Often, facing one fear head-on can make the others seem less daunting.
3. Lack of Action:
Ideas are great, but without action, they’re just daydreams. In business, you need daily action. From social media posts and emails to creating content and forging partnerships, it all counts. Sitting on the couch watching Netflix won’t cut it (unless your business is binge-watching).
Takeaway: Plan out your daily business actions every week. Set three key tasks per day and make sure you tick them off. Small steps lead to big results.
4. Lack of Visibility:
Imagine only posting once a week on social media and expecting clients to flock to you. Not going to happen. Visibility is key. The more consistently and authentically you show up, the more people will know, like, and trust you. And trust me, they’ll buy from those they trust.
Takeaway: Aim to be present and provide value on your chosen platforms every day. This could be a quick live video, a helpful post, or engaging with your audience directly.
5. Lack of a Plan:
Going at your business willy-nilly (yes, I used that term) is a recipe for disaster. You need a clear game plan with end goals in mind. Randomly throwing content out there doesn’t create a cohesive story or build towards a bigger goal.
Takeaway: Sit down and map out a monthly content plan. Define your goals and create a roadmap to achieve them. Purposeful actions lead to purposeful results.
